Vision FAQs

How does a member know if their doctor belongs to the VSP network?
Members can ask their doctor if he or she belongs to the VSP network, or they can visit the VSP Web site to locate a VSP doctor. Remind members that their out-of-pocket amount will be lower if they select a network doctor.
How will a member know ahead of time what their copay will be?
The doctor can let members know before they schedule treatment so members will be prepared. Or, members can log in to VSP's Web site and check their benefits.
If a member chooses a network doctor, can he or she switch to another doctor?
Yes. At any time members can choose a different VSP network doctor or switch to a doctor who isn't in the network. The choice is theirs — we don't need to be notified when they change doctors.
How does a member know if planned work is a covered service?
Members can check the Your Benefits Guide booklet or log in to the VSP Web site to check their benefits.
What should members do if they have more questions?
They should contact VSP customer service.
