Vision FAQs
- How does a member know if their doctor belongs to the VSP network?
- Members can ask their doctor if he or she belongs to the VSP network, or they can visit the VSP Web site to locate a VSP doctor. Remind members that their out-of-pocket amount will be lower if they select a network doctor.
- How will a member know ahead of time what their copay will be?
- The doctor can let members know before they schedule treatment so members will be prepared. Or, members can log in to VSP's Web site and check their benefits.
- If a member chooses a network doctor, can he or she switch to another doctor?
- Yes. At any time members can choose a different VSP network doctor or switch to a doctor who isn't in the network. The choice is theirs — we don't need to be notified when they change doctors.
- How does a member know if planned work is a covered service?
- Members can check the Your Benefits Guide booklet or log in to the VSP Web site to check their benefits.
- What should members do if they have more questions?
- They should contact VSP customer service.
