Information for Members of Medicare Plus Blue GroupSM
Medicare Plus Blue Group offers comprehensive coverage for hospital and medical care through a group plan sponsor. As a member of this plan, you still have Medicare coverage, but you now get all your hospital and medical services through our plan. Medicare Plus Blue Group combines Original Medicare Part A (hospital) and Part B (medical) coverage and expands your coverage to include some preventive services (some group plans may also include Medicare Part D prescription drug coverage).
Medicare Plus Blue Group is a Private Fee-for-Service plan. You can go to any doctor, hospital or other health care professional eligible to participate in Medicare and that accepts our plan's terms and conditions of payment and agrees to provide you with services.
Limits and cost-sharing may apply. Consult your Evidence of Coverage for specific information about your benefits and cost-sharing responsibilities.

Medicare Plus Blue Group is a Private-Fee-for-Service plan with a Medicare contract and is available to all Medicare beneficiaries entitled to Medicare Part A and enrolled in Part B. Premiums, deductibles, copayments and coinsurance amounts vary by plan. You must continue to pay your Part B premium. The Medicare Advantage Prescription Drug Benefit is only available to members of a MA-PD plan.
A Medicare Advantage Private Fee-for-Service plan works differently than your existing plan. Your doctor or hospital is not required to agree to accept the plan's terms and conditions, and thus may choose not to treat you, with the exception of emergencies. If your doctor or hospital does not agree to accept our payment terms and conditions, or otherwise agree to treat you, you will not be able to receive covered services from them under this plan. Medicare Plus Blue Group is issued by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, a nonprofit corporation and independent licensee of the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association. Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan contracts with the federal government. Our contract with CMS is renewed annually and the availability of coverage beyond the end of the current contract year is not guaranteed.
