Our Mission and Calling
Our unique mission sets us apart from other insurers.
We fulfill it in many ways. We guarantee access to quality health care to everyone in Michigan. To create stronger, healthier Michigan communities, we:
- Subsidize coverage for seniors and people moving out of employer health plans
- Partner with state government to cover more than 32,000 children in MIChild
- Give funding grants to 55 free clinics statewide
- Partner with hospitals, providers and agencies to improve health care and save lives
- Contribute more money than any other company to efforts that improve health and health care in Michigan
