Overview

OneBlue is a HMO individual product that is medically underwritten through Blue Care Network.

What is Medical Underwriting?
BCN individually underwrites each applicant based on their health history and current health status. The health history provided at the time of application will be used to help make this assessment. Additional information regarding the applicant's health history may also be required in order to make a final decision regarding eligibility for the BCN coverage.

What is a pre-existing condition?
A pre-existing condition is a sickness or bodily injury for which medical advice, diagnosis, care or treatment was recommended or received within the six-month period prior to the covered person's effective date of coverage. For individuals 19 years of age and older, benefits for pre-existing conditions are not payable until the covered person's coverage has been in force for six consecutive months.
