Blues launch PGIP Matters
I am constantly amazed and encouraged about the incredible work and progress exhibited by the participants engaged in PGIP. Although the group of engaged change agents are relatively small in number, both within BCBSM and within the provider community, I am confident that we are headed in the right direction of changing the world of health care delivery for the better. Please enjoy our inaugural issue of PGIP Matters and remember that the quality improvement work that you accomplish every day also matters; to your patients, to BCBSM, and to the state of Michigan.

We’ve been working on various ways to reduce the amount of e-mail that you receive from us. Up until now, we’ve had to rely on individual e-mails, and PGIP organizations’ timely notification to us about changes or additions to their distribution lists. By working with this electronic newsletter, we hope to cut down on the amount of e-mail requests, reminders and invitations we send to you.

For instance, many of our Physician Organizations host special events, continuing education seminars or workshops – these will generally be announced in our newsletter, and arrive at your desktop if you subscribe to the newsletter. Please provide the details regarding such events to us by the first of the month for publication by the middle of the month.We’ll also include reminders of events and links to registration web pages. We reserve the right to determine the applicability of sharing these notice

We’ll be reviewing the effectiveness of this newsletter throughout the year, so be sure to let us know whether it works for you.
