How Do I Find a Doctor in My Medicare Plan's Network?
When a doctor or hospital contracts with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, it means they’re in network. You might also say they accept your plan. Doctors or hospitals that don’t contract with us are out of network.
Always make sure your doctor is in network. An in-network doctor will save you money, and in some cases, if you go out of network, it won't be covered by your plan.
Medicare Advantage plans have specific networks, and sometimes they only include local doctors. So it's important to understand your plan's network and make sure your doctor is in network before you see them.
Always ask a new doctor or hospital if they accept your Medicare Advantage plan before you make an appointment.
Or before you choose a doctor, use Find a Doctor to see if a provider is in network. Simply log in to get started using the tool.

Here are some other factors to consider about your Medicare Advantage plan's network:
If you have a Medicare Plus BlueSM PPO plan, you'll pay less when you get medical services in network.
You can see doctors outside your plan's network, you'll just pay more for their services.
If you have a BCN AdvantageSM plan and see a doctor or hospital outside the network, you're generally not covered. That means you'll end up paying out of pocket for any services rendered.
Unlike other Medicare plans, Medicare supplement plans don't have a network.
So if you have a Blue Cross® Medicare Supplement plan, you can see any doctor or go to any hospital nationwide that accepts Original Medicare.
