How can journaling help you get healthy?
Writing down what you eat and drink and documenting your physical activity on a daily basis may help you change your behavior, according to Harvard Health.* Through journaling, you can start to identify patterns. Do you tend to eat more carbohydrates later in the day? Do you notice you’re less stressed when you exercise regularly? Noticing patterns can help shift behaviors.
Journaling food and physical activity can help us hold ourselves accountable. Be honest with yourself, but show yourself some grace when you fall short of expectations. This kind of reflection will strengthen your commitment to your weight-loss journey.
