No-cost COVID-19 treatment extended through March 31, 2021
As the pandemic continues, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan and Blue Care Network want to ensure that members can get the care they need during these difficult times. We’re extending the time frame for waiving the member cost share for COVID-19 treatment through March 31, 2021. For more details, see the January Record article.
Mi-COVID19 registry earns national recognition
Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan’s Collaborative Quality Initiative program was recently awarded the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association’s Fast Network Best Practice Prize. The program was recognized for the rapid development and implementation efforts of the Mi-COVID19 registry. For more details, see the January Record article.
Value Partnerships director receives national health care leadership award
Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan’s Value Partnerships Director Tom Leyden was recognized with the Primary Care Community Leadership/Research Award at the annual Primary Care Collaborative conference Dec 1. The award is presented to an outstanding individual who has demonstrated remarkable leadership or research to ensure that primary care is foundational to community or state health care reform efforts.
