Healthy Behavior Optimization for Michigan CQI offers tools to promote smoking cessation Giving health care providers tools to help their patients stop smoking is the aim of Healthy Behavior Optimization for Michigan, known as HBOM. It targets health behaviors during various teachable moments in health care, including diagnosis, hospitalization, surgery and pregnancy. HBOM works collaboratively with our portfolio of existing Collaborative Quality Initiatives to improve health behaviors within their patient populations. Support for CQIs, including HBOM, is provided by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan and Blue Care Network as part of our Value Partnerships program.
