New website showcases accomplishments of CQIs, provides resources For the past 25 years, with funding from Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, the Collaborative Quality Initiatives have addressed many of the most common and costly areas of surgical and medical care in Michigan. It’s estimated that the CQIs have saved $1.4 billion in statewide health care costs due to decreased complications and improved patient outcomes. Each CQI has its own website, but a newly created website — CQIS.org* — details the work of the award-winning, internationally recognized portfolio of programs. “While Blue Cross has long touted our CQIs and their work, having a dedicated site for the entire CQI portfolio allows them the opportunity to further showcase their accomplishments, value and what they bring to the state of Michigan and the nation in one website,” said Emily Santer, CQI manager, Value Partnerships.
