New labor agreement between Blue Cross, BCN and UAW ratified
As you may have read in a provider alert in December, a new master labor agreement between Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, Blue Care Network and the United Auto Workers was ratified by UAW-represented employees during voting that took place on Dec. 5 and 6.
During the work stoppage, we continued to process your claims, authorization requests and inquiries. We apologize for any inconvenience you experienced due to the UAW work stoppage and thank you for your patience while we worked to reach a labor agreement.

Washtenaw County Community Mental Health joins crisis services program
As you may have read in the November Record, Washtenaw County Community Mental Health is the newest organization to join Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan’s crisis services program. It offers both mobile crisis and residential crisis services. For mobile crisis services in Washtenaw County or to determine the location of the appropriate facility for a patient, call 734-544-3050.
