What is a care advocate?

Care advocates offer personalized clinical support to employee populations. Care advocates deliver clinical guidance and episodic support for your employees. They assess short-term needs, coach your employees on health care related issues and proactively resolve potential barriers to care. They may also guide your employees to appropriate levels of care and provide interventions to assist in resolving gaps in care. 

Care advocates will also provide referrals to needed programs and services, such as 2nd Opinion Support for surgery, Livongo for diabetes management and Omada for diabetes prevention.

Performance guarantees for clinical engagement and high dollar review 

As a step up from the Enhanced offering, Advocate includes claim reviews from our high dollar claims team for claims starting at $75,000 (the minimum for Core is $150,000 and the minimum for Enhanced is $100,000).  These claims are reviewed to ensure that every dollar spent is spent wisely, saving money and improving care choices.
