The Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan Foundation doesn’t just wait for grant applications. By gathering data through listening and learning sessions with community leaders, the Foundation has been able to develop a request for proposal that is population-led and community-inspired. Each year, our sessions and data gathering culminate in multiple initiatives that support organizations throughout Michigan to address community-identified needs.
The amount of this award will vary.
With the Request for Proposal program, we work with communities to jointly identify areas for funding that will improve health and reduce health inequities. The program funds organizations that serve the uninsured, underinsured, and other vulnerable populations.
