What do I need to know about credentialing?
Credentialing is a verification process that proves you have the appropriate license, education, insurance and other qualifications necessary for your provider type.
To get credentialed, you'll need to visit CAQH.org. Keep in mind you'll need to have your NPI, or National Provider Identifier, number handy.
How can I learn more about my patients' eligibility?
We offer two ways to find patient eligibility information — by logging into our secured provider portal or by calling Provider Inquiry, an automated response system.
Provider Inquiry is for registered, nonregistered and out-of-state providers.
While our automated response system is available to any provider who needs it, we strongly encourage providers to log in or learn how to get an account.
How do I submit a prior authorization request?
We use prior authorization, also known as preauthorization or precertification, to ensure patients are getting the right care.
If you're within Michigan, you can use our e-Referral site to learn whether you need to submit a prior authorization.
